How to use

This powerful paint-on product is easy-to-apply, just simply follow these 4 steps:

  1. Apply directly to clean fabric.
  2. Apply evenly all over.
  3. Wipe away any excess product with a clean cloth.
  4. Allow to dry completely before use.

Coverage guidelines:

  • For lightweight nylon materials (often used in tents) coverage is 15-18sq metres per litre.
  • For lightweight canvas materials, the coverage is 7-10sq metres per litre.
  • For medium-weight canvas, it's 5-7sq metres per litre.

Top Tips:

  • As a pre-treatment, we recommend cleaning with Fabsil Tent + Gear
  • Treat outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
  • Apply using a clean paintbrush or spray bottle
  • Apply extra to seams and areas prone to abrasion
  • For ultimate protection, allow to dry for as long as possible.

      First stop rain proofing

      Used Fabsil before in extreme weather conditions and the rain ran straight off. Even where puddles occurred the water did not penetrate.

      Superb seal on a MINI cabriolet roof

      Does exactly what it says on the tin. Applied generously with a 1.5 inch brush to a clean, dry roof. Water now beads as well as it does on the ceramic coated bodywork.

      Used this last weekend to refresh the protection to our caravan awning before packing it away for the winter, it's the first time I've treated it, we've had it for a couple of years. I used just over 1/2 of the tin, spayed on effortlessly with a repurposed household spay bottle, concentrating on the seams. Dry within a few hours on a light breeze sunny day. We'll see how the awning fairs next year following it's treatment.
