Universal Protector UV

I can only comment on the application but my trusted (not often used) tent was showing signs of its ground sheet letting water by on its last outing so got Fabsil to try to restore it and it applied well (with a garden sprayer) and flicking water at it once dry .. it beads and comes off and I have plenty left for further treatments. The test yet to come is how long does it last ?

I've just returned from an incredibly wet 3 night camping trip in my recently treated tent. The re-proofing with Universal Protector UV worked excellently and the inside of my 20 year old tent remained perfectly dry despite multiple torrential downpours! I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a leaking tent

I used a pump pressure spray to apply the product to my canvas tent and it went on easily enough. Also dries colourless, which was good. I've not used the tent yet, so can't comment on the performance. Two things though... The info on the tin does not say whether it should be shaken, stirred or just poured out. Could not find anything on the FAQ either. Most annoyingly the 5l tin does not have a pull-out spout and it makes it very hard to dispense product without it going all over the place, causing unnecessary wastage and leaving me short.

Sorry but as car top hasn't gotten wet yet I'm unable to give an opinion.

Leaving my pick-up outside in the rain and sun really tests the canvas cover which rots out very quickly if not protected. This stuff makes it waterproof and protects it from the effects of the sun.
